These are seed grown.  Salvia x sylvestris Tanzerin produces erect spikes up to 50-60 cm high of rich violet flowers with purple-reddish bracts and calyces that further accentuate the rich colour. Flowers in early summer with dead-heading encouraging more blooms.  It has tough, dark green aromatic foliage and is loved by bees and beneficial insects.
