1.2 litre sized pot. Vernonia crinita is commonly known as Ironweed. It is a late flowering perennial and a native wildflower throughout eastern North America. It likes moist, sunny position. Multiple crimson-purple flowers with magenta centres are held 1m+ high on strong stems from late summer- autumn. Seed heads provide further interest throughout winter. Leaves are medium green. Looks fantastic partnered with Helianthus Lemon Queen and other tall autumn flowering perennials.
