Villaleigh Plants came about after our son Patrick's battle with cancer (Rhabdomyosarcoma) in 2014-2015 when he was 4-5 years old. I needed a job that had flexible hours to work around the kids and could be done from home and it made sense to work in something that I loved to do.
So it was devasting for us to discover in early May 2020, during a routine chest xray, that Patrick (aged 9) was going to have to fight that battle all over again. Patrick has now been diagnosed with a tumour called Ewings Sarcoma in his chest cavity.
So what does this mean for Villaleigh Plants? Due to the intensive nature of Patrick's treatment the nursery will be temporarily closed with the hope of being able to open again Autumn 2021.
I thank you all for your custom and I look forward to a time when Villaleigh Plants can have plants travelling to a variety of gardens around the country once more.
Amy Roberts, Villaleigh Plants
