Planning a Visit?

The garden and nursery is open to visitors year round, via appointment only PLEASE NOTE: This year the garden will be closed from April 15th until the end of September 2024 while it undergoes some landscaping work with heavy machinery. Look forward to inviting you back here from October 2024 onwards!

Visiting Garden Groups are able to bring along their morning tea/lunch etc and can set up on the terrace, wander the gardens, shop for plants and I am also happy to talk to the group, sharing the story behind the garden and nursery and give some propagation demonstrations if you wish. I do have a hot water urn I can set up if required.

You may like to plan a visit to Nikau Cave & Cafe http://nikaucave.co.nz/cafe (approx 30 mins from here) for a lovely lunch as part of your day out, or a take a trip onwards to Raglan or perhaps try the Glen Afton Steam Train.
